Rug Techniques
Our digitally printed rugs
are printed using state of the
art chromojet technology.
This produces high definition
designs, with unlimited colours,
suitable for detailed, realistic
florals.
Hand knotted rugs require
great skill and often take
longer to produce than
other methods. Each knot is
individually hand tied onto the
loom by a specialist weaver.
This technique creates a
luxurious, artisanal feel.
Our handwoven/handloom
rugs are made on a shuttle
loom. This is a loom which
uses metal rods to achieve
a linear, soft gradation
in colour. This particular
process suits ombré
designs.
Hand tufted rugs are
made using a manual
handtufting gun, whereby
the individual rug fibres
are punched through
a gauze ground. This
method is most suited
to our bold, geometric
designs.
Our flat woven rugs are hand
woven on a loom. These
rugs have zero pile, which
makes them durable and
easy to clean. This technique
is suitable for bold stripes,
textural weaves and geometric
patterns.
Screen printing is made up of
a series of screens, each of
which is covered by a layer of
ink and printed one after the
other. This method creates soft
subtle marks of colour, and is
suitable for our more textural
designs.
